NEW YORK, March 5 (Reuters) - Phillips 66's PSX.N 258,500 barrel-per-day Bayway refinery is undergoing a major turnaround, research company IIR Energy said on Wednesday.
The refinery in Linden, New Jersey, began maintenance activities in mid-February, IIR said.
Ongoing maintenance work at the refinery's 129,500-bpd distillation unit, 75,000-bpd vacuum distillation unit, 29,000-bpd distillate hydrotreater unit, 54,000-bpd heavy gas oils hydrotreater unit and 26,000-bpd reformer unit is expected to last around 50 days until early April.
Bayway produces transportation fuels, including gasoline, diesel and aviation fuel, as well as petrochemical feedstocks, residual fuel oil and home heating oil.
A Phillips 66 spokesperson declined to comment on refinery operations.
U.S. East Coast refinery utilization rates fell to their lowest since July 2020, dropping sharply to 54.8% of capacity from 82.5% in the prior week, the U.S. Energy Information Administration said on Wednesday.
