Canada should alter policies to diversify oil exports away from US, producers say

TORONTO, March 4 (Reuters) - Canada needs to overhaul its policies and streamline regulations to help diversify its exports beyond North America and into Asian and European markets, the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers said on Tuesday after U.S. tariffs took effect.

Securing Ontario and Quebec’s energy supply also needs to be a national priority, the association said in a statement.
