March 3 (Reuters) - UBS forecasts silver to hit $38 per ounce within 12 months, as the bank anticipates a consolidation of the ongoing gold rally and a modest recovery in global industrial production, it said in a note on Monday.
"Our forecast for gold to reach USD 3,000/oz this year is unchanged, albeit we acknowledge that in the risk case (i.e., downside macro scenarios) the metal could reach USD 3,100-3,200/oz," UBS said.
