Brazil will not create food export tax, VP says

SAO PAULO, Feb 28 (Reuters) - Brazil's Vice President Geraldo Alckmin on Friday told journalists in Brasilia that the government would not issue new taxes on food Brazil exports to other countries.
Asked about reducing or eliminating a separate tax on imports of vegetable oils to help curb food inflation, Alckmin said that the issue was being discussed by various ministries but no decision had yet been made.
