ReutersFeb 26, 2025 8:25 PM

- Chilean mine Escondida, the world's largest copper mine, expects to return to regular operations in the next few hours, a source close to the matter told Reuters on Wednesday, after a massive power outage.

Chile's power grid and major copper mines slowly came back online Wednesday morning after the outage a day earlier that plunged most of the country into darkness and knocked out electricity to mining operations.
