Ukraine's Zelenskiy: It is important to ensure U.S. aid does not stop

Feb 26 (Reuters) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on Wednesday that the key part of his forthcoming talks with his U.S. counterpart Donald Trump was to ensure that there be no halt to Washington's assistance for his country.
"I will meet President Trump," Zelenskiy said in his nightly video address. "For me and for all of us in the world, it is important that American aid is not halted. Strength is needed on the path to peace."
Zelenskiy is due in Washington on Friday to sign an agreement on rare earth minerals. He earlier said the success of the accord would depend on the outcome of their discussions.
