Trump says focus is on having ceasefire in Ukraine war as soon as possible

WASHINGTON, Feb 24 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday there was focus on having a ceasefire in the Russia-Ukraine war as soon as possible and ultimately get to permanent peace.
Trump made the remarks in a press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron at the White House.
Trump also said the U.S. has had "some great conversations" with Russia since he took office on January 20 toward that goal.
