Jan 21 (Reuters) - CVR Energy CVI.N said on Tuesday a fire that broke out in the naphtha hydrotreater unit at a Coffeyville, Kansas, refinery operated by a subsidiary has been extinguished.
CVR Energy has not said whether operations at the 115,000 barrels-per-day refinery were affected by the fire.
"One contract worker was taken to the hospital for treatment due to an unrelated personal medical issue. All employees have been accounted for," CVR Energy said.
A thorough investigation into the cause of the fire would be conducted, it said.
Billionaire investor Carl Icahn owns a majority share of CVR Energy.
