DAVOS, Jan 21 (Reuters) - The European Union must remove any remaining barriers to its energy union and must invest in next-generation clean energy technology, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said on Tuesday at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
She said that the EU must continue to diversify energy supplies and expand clean sources of generation from renewables, adding that all of this would be part of a new plan that will be presented in February.
