US Plains HRW Wheat-Basis bids flat as futures fall

- Basis bids for hard red winter wheat were unchanged in a spot check of locations in the U.S. Plains on Thursday as futures dipped down.

* Protein premiums for HRW wheat shipped by rail to or through Kansas City were down 1 cent for 11.2% protein wheat and down 4 cents for 11.4% protein wheat. They were up 1 cent for wheat with protein grades of 12% to 12.8%. All other protein grades were unchanged. KCBT/SCA

* The Chicago Board of Trade K.C. March wheat contract KWH25 ended down 9-1/4 cents at $5.48-1/4 per bushel.
