South Korea jet pilot said there was a bird strike before crash, official says

SEOUL, Dec 30 (Reuters) - The Jeju Air jet pilot told air traffic control the aircraft had suffered a bird strike and declared mayday shortly before the planed crashed on Sunday, a transport ministry official said on Monday in a media briefing.
