ReutersDec 24, 2024 7:36 PM

- Chicago Board of Trade corn futures ended slightly higher on Tuesday as traders adjusted positions ahead of the Christmas holiday and watched weather in Argentina closely.

  • CBOT December corn CZ24 settled up 3/4 cents at $4.48-1/2 a bushel.

  • Traders monitored weather conditions in Argentina, which has experienced a spate of dry weather recently but may see more precipitation in the coming weeks, according to Commodity Weather Group.

  • Strength in the U.S. dollar .DXY made U.S. exports more expensive and less competitive on the international market.
