National Bankshares, Inc. is a financial holding company of The National Bank of Blacksburg, which does business as National Bank (NBB), and of National Bankshares Financial Services, Inc, an investment and insurance subsidiary. NBB is a community-oriented financial institution headquartered in Blacksburg, Virginia. Through approximately 27 banking locations across southwest and central Virginia and two loan production offices in Roanoke and Charlottesville, Virginia, NBB offers a full range of retail and commercial banking services to individuals, businesses, non-profits and local governments. It offers telephone, mobile and Internet banking and it operates 25 automated teller machines (ATMs) in its service area. NBB focuses lending on small and mid-sized businesses and individuals. Its loan types include commercial and agricultural, commercial real estate, construction for commercial and residential properties, residential real estate, home equity and various consumer loan products.
