Switzerland rejects US 'unfair' trade allegations

April 1 (Reuters) - The Swiss government said on Wednesday that it rejects U.S. allegations of unfair trade practices and its investigations related to alleged excess capacity and production in manufacturing sectors.

The federal council said in a statement that it has decided to take necessary steps to present Switzerland's position in the context of the investigations and that bilateral negotiations on a trade agreement continue.
