ScanSource Q4 FY2026 Earnings: Hardware Demand Drives 17% Sales Growth
ScanSource (NASDAQ: SCSC) reported Q4 FY2026 net sales of $953.1 million, up 17.3% year over year, as broad-based North American hardware demand lifted Specialty Technology Solutions. GAAP diluted EPS rose 40.9% to $1.24, while adjusted EBITDA increased 19.4% to $46.1 million and its margin edged up to 4.84%. Gross margin nevertheless declined 35 basis points to 12.6%. For FY2027, ScanSource guided to 6%-10% sales growth, $158-$165 million of adjusted EBITDA, and at least $85 million of free cash flow, excluding the pending MicroAge acquisition.

Cato Q2 2026 Earnings: Margin Compression Drives Profit Decline
Cato’s fiscal Q2 2026 retail sales fell 6% to $163.9 million as same-store sales declined 3.7%. Diluted EPS dropped to $0.06 from $0.35, and net income decreased to $1.1 million from $6.8 million. Gross margin contracted 340 basis points to 32.8% because of lower merchandise margins and occupancy-cost deleveraging. Although SG&A dollars fell by $3.3 million, the expense ratio edged higher as sales declined. Management expects continued pressure on customers’ discretionary income and described the second half of 2026 as challenging.
