EUROPE BEFORE THE BELL: FUTURES SIGNAL A REBOUND

The mood in markets is more optimistic on Wednesday, as European shares look set to bounce after a sharp fall the day before, with focus remaining on the geopolitical situation.

Iran and the U.S. are still struggling to make any progress to end the war, although the month-long ceasefire is holding for now.

The situation in the Middle East will likely be the key issue when U.S. President Trump travels to meet his Chinese counterpart Xi in Beijing, with his arrival due later on Wednesday.

For now, markets are in a more optimistic mood than they were yesterday. Euro STOXX 50 futures STXEc1 are up 0.9%, after the index .STOXX50E fell 1.5% on Tuesday.

DAX FDXc1, FTSE FFIc1 and CAC FCEc1 futures are up 0.5% to 0.8%.
