Shares of energy storage solutions company Energy Vault NRGV.N gain ~3% to $3.28 premarket

NRGV says it will acquire 850 megawatts (MW) of battery energy storage system (BESS) from a leading domestic energy storage developer in Japan

Deal includes 350 MW of advanced-stage BESS projects that will begin construction in second half of 2027 and reach commercial operations in the second half of 2028, and 500 MW of early-stage projects

Including session's move, stock down 30.8% YTD
