March 5 (Reuters) - Vancouver-based miner Vizsla Silver VZLA.TO said on Thursday that two additional workers have been confirmed dead and three remain missing following the abduction of 10 employees in Concordia, in the Mexican state of Sinaloa.
Shares of the company were down 4% in afternoon trading.
Late in January, Vizsla Silver had reported that 10 of its workers were abducted from its Panuco project in Mexico.
Mexico's attorney general's office said last month that it found 10 bodies in the municipality of Concordia, of which five were identified.
The group was kidnapped from a silver mine in an area security authorities say is under the control of "Los Chapitos," a faction of the Sinaloa cartel led by the sons of former drug lord Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman.
Vizsla Silver said that it continues to cooperate fully with Mexican authorities as search efforts and the broader investigation proceed.
