Shares of grain trader Archer-Daniels-Midland ADM.N gain 1% to $68.72 premarket
ADM agrees to pay a $40 million civil penalty to settle charges from U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that it inflated the performance of a key business segment, the regulator said late on Tuesday
ADM reached a settlement without admitting or denying any wrongdoing
The SEC separately sued ADM's former chief financial officer, Vikram Luthar, for his role in alleged fraudulent adjustments
In 2025, ADM gained 13.8%
