CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens flat as investors pause after strong mining-led rally

Jan 23 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened flat on Friday, as investors took a breather following strong mining sector gains in the previous session, while oil prices climbed on renewed fears of potential U.S. military action against Iran.
At 09:31 a.m. ET, the S&P/TSX Composite Index .GSPTSE was up 0.04% at 33,017.26 points.
