Walmart set to join Nasdaq 100, shares climb

Retail giant Walmart's WMT.O shares rise 2.7% to $117.64 premarket; co to join the Nasdaq-100 index .NDX on January 20
Exchange operator Nasdaq said on Friday the co will replace British drugmaker AstraZeneca AZN.O in the index
WMT will also be part of the Nasdaq-100 Equal-Weighted Index, and Nasdaq-100 Ex-Tech Sector Index
Co raised its annual net sales and earnings forecast in November
WMT shares have risen about 25% in the past one year
