
Dec 9 (Reuters) - Wall Street's main stock indexes were subdued at the open on Tuesday as investors awaited the Federal Reserve's policy decision, while Nvidia shares were whipsawed by contrasting news around exports of advanced AI chips to China.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI fell 14.8 points, or 0.03%, at the open to 47,724.52. The S&P 500 .SPX fell 5.9 points, or 0.09%, at the open to 6,840.61, while the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC dropped 41.3 points, or 0.18%, to 23,504.614 at the opening bell.
