Shares of Berkshire Hathaway BRKa.N ease 2.2% to $738,590 on Monday after it announces the departure of longtime chief financial officer Marc Hamburg

BRKa is on track for biggest daily pct decline since Aug. 4 and lowest close since Nov. 6

Hamburg, who joined BRKa in 1987, will retire on June 1, 2027 after four decades at the conglomerate. Todd Combs, a BRKa investment manager, will leave to head the strategic investment group of JPMorgan's JPM.N new security and resiliency initiative

Charles Chang, CFO of Berkshire Hathaway Energy, will succeed Hamburg next year

The departure announcements come as Greg Abel is set to assume BRKa's top job from Warren Buffett from Jan. 1, 2026

BRKa is up 8.6% YTD compared with S&P 500 .SPX, which is up 2.3%
