Spotify rises after report on US subscription price hikes

Shares of Swedish streaming giant Spotify SPOT.N climb 4.1% to $609 premarket
SPOT will raise its U.S. subscription prices in first quarter of next year, Financial Times reports, citing people familiar with matter
Next year's hike to be first price increase in U.S. since June 2024
SPOT said in August it would raise prices to 11.99 euros($13.83) per month from 10.99 euros in markets including South Asia, Middle East, Africa, Europe, Latin America and Asia-Pacific region
Spotify did not immediately respond to Reuters' request for comment
Up to last close, stock had risen ~31% this year
