Oct 31 (Reuters) - Canadian oil and gas producer Cenovus Energy CVE.TO posted a rise in third-quarter profit on Friday, helped by higher upstream production and refinery throughput volumes.
The Calgary, Alberta-based company's net income rose to C$1.29 billion ($920 million), or 72 Canadian cents per share, in the three months ended September 30, from C$820 million, or 42 Canadian cents per share, a year earlier.
