EUROPEAN SHARES SET FOR WEEKLY LOSS

European equities eased on Friday and were set for a weekly loss, as investors digested mixed batch of quarterly results and awaited key euro zone inflation figures. The pan-European STOXX 600 index .STOXX is still heading for a monthly gain, but was down 0.4% on Friday, having hit record highs on Wednesday, as traders weighed the chances of fewer interest rate cuts in the U.S. and Europe, a flurry of earnings results and a fragile Sino-U.S. trade truce.

Attention will turn to euro zone inflation data due this morning after the European Central Bank kept interest rates unchanged at 2% on Thursday for the third meeting in a row, flagging a more resilient economy.

Shares in French reinsurer SCOR SCOR.PA fall 6.5% following what JPMorgan analysts deem "not (its) best quarter".
