Firefly Aerospace slides after rocket test mishap
Shares of space launch vehicle designer and manufacturer Firefly Aerospace FLY.O fall 9.6% to $33.4 after its rocket booster was destroyed in testing mishap
Co says the booster for its Alpha rocket was destroyed during a ground test, weeks before the rocket was due in a flight mission
FLY says all personnel involved in the test are safe
The incident is another interruption to FLY's business just weeks after it closed an investigation into the failure of its Alpha rocket, which put a satellite owned by Lockheed Martin LMT.N in a shallow orbit in late April, implying a mission failure
FLY shares down nearly 18% from IPO price of $45; co secured a valuation of $9.84 bln following stock surge in early August market debut
