Shares of online selling platforms Etsy ETSY.O and Shopify SHOP.TO rise 7.3% and 4.5%, respectively

OpenAI says it is partnering with Etsy and Shopify to roll out instant checkout for shopping through ChatGPT

The feature is available to U.S. ChatGPT Pro, Plus, and Free users, enabling them to make purchases directly within ChatGPT

Merchants will have to pay a fee on completed purchases to OpenAI, but there will be no charges for users

Up to last close, Etsy and Shopify had risen 27.8% and 31.9% YTD, respectively
