Sept 18 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening higher on Thursday, with futures FFIc1 up 0.16%.
* ANGLO AMERICAN: Brazil's antitrust watchdog CADE has dismissed an investigation into Anglo American's AAL.L plan to sell its nickel operations in the country to a unit of Hong Kong-listed MMG 1208.HK for up to $500 million, newspaper Folha de S.Paulo reported on Wednesday.
* SPIRE HEALTHCARE: Leading investors of British private hospital group Spire Healthcare SPI.L, including activist investment trust Achilles AIC.L, are urging the company to put itself up for sale, Sky News reported on Wednesday, citing sources.
* BARCLAYS: Barclays BARC.L has appointed former Credit Suisse veteran Neel Laungani as head of financial sponsors for Asia-Pacific on Thursday, assigning him to oversee deal origination, execution, and strategic coverage of key regional clients.
