Dollar General DG.N shares pare gains from premarket, last up about 1% at $111.88, after company raises annual sales, profit forecast

DG expects 2025 net sales growth in the range of 4.3% to 4.8% versus prior forecast of between 3.7% and 4.7% growth, betting on resilient demand for its discounted products

"Low end of our guidance ranges allow for increasing pressure on consumer spending as we move through the back half of the year with Q4 potentially more impacted than Q3," says CFO Kelly Dilts

Expects annual adjusted EPS between $5.80 and $6.30 versus earlier range of $5.20 to $5.80

Discount retailer also beats Q2 same-store sales estimates, helped by growth in customer traffic

Up to last close, DG shares up about 47% YTD
