** Shares of Cracker Barrel Old Country Store CBRL.O shares up 6.6% at $61.52 in premarket trading
** Restaurant chain said late on Tuesday it would stick with its decades-old logo , scrapping plans for a new one following social media backlash, including from U.S. President Donald Trump
** Conservatives, including the president, as well as Donald Trump Jr. criticized CBRL's new logo that simply displays its name against a barrel-shaped yellow silhouette, removing "Uncle Herschel"
** Stock cratered last week to wipe out YTD gains after the backlash, but pared back after Trump posted on TruthSocial on Tuesday that CBRL should go back to its old logo
** CBRL has a high level of short interest and is up about 9% YTD as of last close
