Lilly rises after launching Mounjaro pen in India

** Shares of U.S. drugmaker Eli Lilly LLY.N rise 1.4% to $648.59 premarket

** LLY launches easy-to-use injector pen of its blockbuster weight-loss drug Mounjaro in India

** Co prices the drug at 14,000 rupees ($160.03) and 17,500 rupees ($200.03) for its starting doses of 2.5 mg and 5 mg, respectively

** Rival Novo Nordisk's NOVOb.CO weight-loss drug Wegovy costs 17,345 rupees ($198.26) a month for its smallest doses of 0.25 mg, 0.5 mg and 1 mg

** LLY's drug, branded Mounjaro Kwikpen, is available in six dose strengths — 2.5 mg, 5 mg, 7.5 mg, 10 mg, 12.5 mg and 15 mg — with pricing calculated for a month's supply

** Up to last close, stock was down 17.2% YTD
