Shares of payments technology firm Global Payments GPN.N rise 5.7% to $82.02 after the bell
Activist hedge fund Elliott Management has built a significant stake in GPN following deal for Worldpay, Financial Times reports
GPN had in April agreed to buy Worldpay from FIS FIS.N and private equity firm GTCR for $24.25 billion in a three-way deal
GPN and Elliott did not immediately respond to Reuters' requests for comment
Stock has fallen 30.7% YTD
