
July 8 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened higher on Tuesday, boosted by gains in technology shares, while investors assessed U.S. President Donald Trump's new tariff proposals for several trading partners and a new deadline for trade deals.
At 9:31 a.m. ET (1331 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 0.2% at 27,063.83 points.
