
July 8 (Reuters) - Wall Street's main indexes opened mixed on Tuesday, as investors assessed President Donald Trump's latest tariff offensive, and hoped that upcoming trade talks with trading partners could defuse the threat of a full-blown trade war.
At 09:31 a.m., the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI fell 60.05 points, or 0.14%, to 44,339.31, the S&P 500 .SPX gained 2.58 points, or 0.05%, to 6,233.03 and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC gained 62.52 points, or 0.31%, to 20,475.03.
