
June 18 (Reuters) - Nippon Steel 5401.T on Wednesday finalized its $14.9 billion purchase of U.S. Steel X.N, capping an 18-month effort that faced intense political scrutiny.
The Japanese steelmaker also revealed the terms of a national security agreement with the Trump administration, which grants President Donald Trump the right to appoint a board member and issue a non-economic golden share.
