BEFORE THE BELL: EUROPEAN FUTURES STEADY, EYES ON KERING
European shares were set to open broadly unchanged on Monday, following five sessions of losses, as markets showed resilience despite the conflict between Israel and Iran showing no sign of cooling and higher oil prices.
EuroSTOXX50, DAX and FTSE futures all hovered around parity in early European trading hours, while contracts on the S&P 500 gained 0.3%, following Friday's lower close on Wall Street.
Eyes were on Kering PRTP.PA after Le Figaro reported the French luxury goods maker is expected to name Luca de Meo, who is leaving Renault RENA.PA in mid-July after a five-year turnaround of the troubled automaker, as its CEO.
Metro Bank MTRO.L was also on the watchlist after Sky News reported the UK bank had been approached about a takeover bid backed by a private equity firm, Pollen Street Capital.
