UK Stocks-UK Factors to watch on June 13

June 13 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index opened 0.6% lower on Friday.

GSK: GSK GSK.L said on Friday the European Medicines Agency had accepted the drugmaker's application to expand the use of its respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine, Arexvy, to adults aged 18 and above.

UNILEVER: Unilever ULVR.L workers in Ivory Coast say the global consumer goods giant is violating their collective bargaining agreement in refusing to ensure severance pay if layoffs take place after the company sells its business there, documents show.

ADRIATIC METALS: Canada's Dundee Precious Metals DPM.TO will acquire UK's Adriatic Metals ADT1.L in a cash-and-stock deal valued at $1.25 billion, the companies said on Friday.

RENOLD: U.S. private equity firm MPE Mgt Co-backed MPE Bidco said on Friday it will buy British industrial machinery and equipment maker Renold RNO.L in a 186.7 million pound ($252.61 million) cash deal.

TARIFF DEAL: Britain is ready to implement its side of a tariff deal with the United States and is hopeful for a proclamation from U.S. President Donald Trump to put the agreement into effect in the coming days, trade minister Jonathan Reynolds said.

CARBON: Britain will invest 200 million pounds ($272 million) in the Acorn carbon capture and storage (CCS) project in Scotland.

HIRING: British businesses hired staff at a slower pace in May, a survey showed.

OIL: Oil prices surged more than 9% on Friday, hitting their highest in almost five months.

GOLD: Gold prices climbed to their highest point in nearly two months on Friday, and were on track for a weekly gain.

METALS: Copper prices edged lower on Friday.
