INDITEX DRAGS ON RETAIL, BRITISH HOMEBUILDERS GOING UP
The Stoxx 600 is modestly higher in early trading, up 0.16% but sub indexes are telling more of a story.
European retail stocks down 1.3% .SXRP are the worst performing sector, largely thanks to a 4.5% fall in Zara owner Inditex ITX.MC after its early summer sales disappointed.
Top of the charts are British homebuilders ahead of Finance Minister Rachel Reeves' spending announcement, which will come with more money for affordable homebuilding.
Vistry VTYV.L is the best performing stock on the Stoxx 600, and the British homebuilder share index is up 2.7% at a seven month high. .TRINMX402020
