
May 20 (Reuters) - Wall Street's main indexes opened lower on Tuesday as investors awaited commentary from Federal Reserve officials through the day to assess the potential impact of U.S. President Donald Trump's tariffs in the second half of 2025.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI fell 57.0 points, or 0.13%, at the open to 42735.11. The S&P 500 .SPX fell 18.9 points, or 0.32%, at the open to 5944.66, while the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC dropped 83.4 points, or 0.43%, to 19132.057 at the opening bell.
