EUROPE IN THE GREEN, SET FOR FIFTH WEEKLY RISE
The STOXX 600 is trading at its highest level since March 26 on Friday as equity markets continue to recover from the tariff-induced sell-off six weeks ago.
The pan-continental benchmark .STOXX is up 0.7% on the day, taking its weekly rise to over 2%, and on track for its fifth straight weekly rise.
Other major bourses are also higher. Germany's DAX .GDAXI is adding 0.7%, France's CAC .FCHI is up 0.6% and Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE is rising 0.4%.
Switzerland's SMI .SSMI outperforms, up 0.9%, helped by a rise in healthcare stocks and a 5% jump in luxury group Richemont CFR.S after the Cartier owner reported a better-than-expected 7% rise in quarterly sales.
