Shares of mining company MAG Silver Corp MAG.TO rise 7.3% to C$25.30

Canadian miner Pan American Silver PAAS.TO said late on Sunday that it will acquire MAG for about $2.1 billion

Deal will give PAAS access to a 44% interest that MAG has in the tier-one Juanicipio silver mine in Mexico

Transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2025

PAAS shares down 15.4% at C$32.19
