Italy's Treasury said it planned to buy back five BTP bonds expiring next year in a transaction to be held on Wednesday, using the cash surplus it holds at the Bank of Italy.
Treasury announces sale of 12-month BOT bills, with relative amounts to be auctioned on May 9.

Italy's government is unwilling to soften conditions imposed on the Italian lender's bid for Banco BPM, potentially prompting the bank to pull the deal, Bloomberg reported on Monday citing people familiar with the matter.
Commerzbank CBKG.DE employee representatives are calling on staff to protest against a possible takeover by UniCredit, signalling that resistance to any deal remains fierce.
