BERLIN, April 24 (Reuters) - German business morale unexpectedly rose in April, a survey showed on Thursday.

The Ifo institute said its business climate index rose to 86.9 in April from 86.7 in March.

Analysts polled by Reuters had forecast a decrease in the reading to 85.2.
