US STOCKS IN REBOUND MODE

Wall Street's main indexes are jumping early on Tuesday, as investors turn their focus to corporate earnings after U.S. President Donald Trump's mounting criticism of Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell caused a sharp selloff in the previous session.

The U.S. economy could slow unless interest rates are lowered immediately, Trump said on Monday, repeating his criticism of Powell, who says rates should not be lowered until it is clearer Trump's tariff plans won't lead to a persistent surge in inflation.

All S&P 500 sectors are rising with consumer discretionary .SPLRCD snapping back the most.

Chips .SOX and banks .SPXBK, .KRX are among outperformers early in the session.

Of note, Tesla TSLA.O, which will kick off earnings for the "Magnificent Seven" group of megacap stocks .MAG after markets close, is rising more than 3%.
