
April 16 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened subdued on Wednesday, with gains in material shares offset by declines in information technology stocks, ahead of the Bank of Canada's policy rate decision due later in the session.
At 9:31 a.m. ET (1331 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 0.03% at 24,060.24 points.
