HEALTHCARE LEADS EUROPE LOWER
European shares are down in the first hour of trading, led by healthcare stocks, down 2.5% their lowest since December 20. .SXDP
Why them? Well maybe they're more exposed to tariffs than most, and there was also a selloff in U.S. healthcare stocks overnight. .N
Bayer BAYGn.DE, GSK GSK.L, AstraZeneca AZN.L, Sanofi SASY.PA are all down 2-4.6%.
The broad STOXX 600 is 0.7% lower .STOXX
Otherwise the main mover of note is Grifols GRLS.MC, up 11% after news website El Confidencial reported that Canadian fund Brookfield BAM.TO has resumed takeover talks with the Spanish pharmaceuticals company.
