
Shares in Grifols GRLS.MC jump about 9% after a media report that Canadian investment fund Brookfield BAM.TO had resumed talks on a potential takeover of the Spanish pharmaceuticals company
According to Spanish newspaper El Confidencial, Brookfield is mulling an offer valuing the company at 7 billion euros ($7.55 billion)
Brookfield withdrew its $6.8 billion offer in November last year after Grifols' management rejected it
The Grifols family declined to comment; Brookfield representatives did not respond immediately to requests for comment
The stock is at the top of Spanish blue-chip index IBEX 35 .IBEX
