FOREIGN OWNERSHIP OF US STOCKS - A RISK FOR WALL ST?
Torsten Slok, Chief Economist at alternative asset manager Apollo, sees foreign ownership of U.S. stocks as a possible risk for the S&P 500 .SPX.
"There have been significant inflows from abroad into US equity markets and foreign investors are now significantly overweight US equities," he says in The Daily Spark comment.
"Combined with the dollar's decline and the ongoing overvaluation of the Magnificent 7, the downside risks to the S&P 500 as a result of foreigners selling are significant."
