Tesla down as China-made EV sales drop in Jan-Feb period

Shares of electric-vehicle maker Tesla TSLA.O down 2.1% at $278.75 premarket

Tesla sold 93,926 China-made EVs in January-February period this year, down 28.7% from a year earlier, according to data from the China Passenger Car Association

A 49.2% fall year-on-year in deliveries of China-made Model 3 and Model Y vehicles in February follows a 11.5% slide in January

Tesla also exports China-made EVs to markets, including Europe, where sales plunged 45% in January
